Please figure out this health care thing, I am really sick of all my favorite sites and stumble links talking about it. Also, I do not particularly care bout a Kennedy dying, or Michael Jackson for that matter.

Sorry about that, we do tend to dominate the news cycle.
Sadly, I would predict that you are in for another 2 months at least of health care debate and coverage. I have to think they are going to spend about 2 or 3 weeks finishing up the bill once congress gets back from recess, then 2 or 3 weeks debating the bills, then 2 or 3 weeks for the house and senate to reconcile the bills passed, then another week for the Obama to sign the bill, then about 2 to 3 weeks of coverage of the signing, with people flipping out about various issues.
You know, maybe if Canada would do something interesting... :)
Actually, I take that back...didn't you guys recall your Prime Minister or something a year ago? Or almost do it through a vote of no confidence or something (You must have actually done it, since, last I checked, Harper was still the PM) That was fucking so cool, I thought, and we needed more coverage of it here in the states I thought. A case were several radically different political ideologies actually laid it all out on the table, that was real political theater, not the bs we often get here in the states, where the only way the two sides can differentiate themselves from the other is by trying to make the "Hitler" label stick. But, enough of my ranting...

We never managed to get Harper out of office though. Too bad. He decided to play nice(er) with all the other minority parties.

yes! It was my dream for so many years to get that fucker out of office. At least with Cheney, fewer people liked him (approval ratings in the single digits rather than in the mid to low 20s), so he would have hopefully been able to get less done...
